Closet staples and shoes that make an outfit without making you go broke!

When you get to be {almost} 30, are a mom, don’t have a corporate job, work from home, and most clothes get covered in spit up, it’s hard to find the time or willpower to get dressed up for the day. It’s also driven me to finally clear out my entire closet, because sadly, I’m a clothes hoarder and I’m still hanging on to my “going-out” clothes from college and I’m sure I can’t fit into 99.9% of them!

I also do not want to go so far to the other extreme and only stay in stretchy pants and Bryan’s t-shirts the rest of my life…

I want to push myself to dress-up every once in awhile, even if I’m just going to the grocery store. I want to feel confident in what I’m wearing and how I look 6 months post twin delivery.

So I thought I’d dwindle down my closet to looks that I still will truly wear and try to invest in having more closet staples, less college-going-out clothes! For me, my closet staples are white t-shirts, button-ups, tunics, stretchy skinny jeans, and kimonos, vests, scarves to dress-up any outfit. And even though I use to only wear my button-ups for my corporate job many moons ago…I realized I can still wear them in my everyday non-corporate world life! They are so versatile, you can wear them with jeans and heels for a dressy chic feel, or dress them down with cut-offs and sandals.

And right now, Express has all their Portofino Shirts BOGO 50% 0ff!back3227

I’m also in LOVE with these skinny jeans from Hazel and Olive! They were the first pair of jeans I bought postpartum and they have a little stretch to them so they don’t feel tight around the waist! I like to wear them with fun graphic tees for a super casual look, but they’re also fun to dress up with a stylish pair of heels!
