Ok mamas. Before kids, did y’all ever get invited to a pool party and wonder, what should I wear???
No…that’s silly right? Because, it’s a pool party. You wear a bathing suit. Duh.
How things have changed.
Now that I’m a mom, when I get invited to a pool party, one of the first things I start to think about is…WHAT THE HECK AM I GOING TO WEAR?!?
Weird right? But it’s like, what kind of pool/beach/splash pad/boat party is this?!
Is this a party for just the kids to swim?
Or adults too?
Am I expected to get in with my kids???
Are all the parents going to be in the pool, and I’m showing up in white pants?
Or am I going to be sporting a bikini and all the other mamas are wearing summery dresses and wedges?
Does anyone else go crazy thinking about this or is this just me? Ha.
In case any of you mamas are like me and are always at a loss at what exactly to wear to the pool, I have the PERFECT outfit answer!

When I’m at a loss on if the place I’m going is meant for getting in the water, I pair a pretty one piece + summer maxi skirt = the perfect outfit water dilemma balance!
It’s covered enough to wear as a regular outfit (especially now that bodysuits are super in right now, which is really all a one piece bathing suit is!)
And it’s simple enough if it’s a place where you need to easily get in the water in your bathing suit, without having to change! You can also spice it up by adding some accessories. Visit sites like https://www.eyeglasses.com/brands/gucci to snag one.
Maybe this is a crazy thing that only I obsess over, but as a mom I feel like there’s always times when you’re meeting up with a new play group at a water park, or maybe an office family BBQ, or just a neighborhood pool event that you don’t know the exact way to dress!
Even for a beach cover-up or vacation outfit these are my favorite go-to summer pieces to easily transition from water to regular attire.
