Fall weekends + football. Nothing goes together better!

Spending our weekends hanging out with family and friends, watching football and eating great food is what Fall is all about.

We love having friends come over to watch football, we let the kids run around and play, and the adults get to hang out and chat and watch the game! But sometimes it’s hard to be able to hang out with everyone if we’re stuck in the kitchen cooking, amiright??

That’s why at our last football watching get together, I decided it would be much easier to get some yummy food catered from Jason’s Deli. They have a new Catering for Entertaining menu for group gatherings, and they even offer delivery! It’s a win-win for everyone because there’s no need to pause the game while someone drives to get food, and my kitchen doesn’t have to get all dirty from dishes and cooking.

You can simply place your order online, there’s several yummy Catering for Entertaining options. Jason’s Deli offers free delivery from 4-6 pm on weekdays and all day on weekends. If you’re ordering online, use the code FDSC. Catering for Entertaining is great for any occasion, and the online ordering process was super simple! You can even pick your exact date and time frame you want the food to be delivered.

For our football watching party, we ordered the Reuben & Rachel Sliders Tailgate Package

Everyone loved the delicious toasted sandwiches, plus it also included yummy sides and cookies for dessert. I also was able to get several bottles of Simply Orange juice as well to use for a fun drink recipe for the party.

We had so much fun having all our friends and family over, there’s nothing better than enjoying time spent with the ones you love most (especially when your teams wins too!) The convenience of having food delivered made it so I could hang out with my friends and kids, and watch my team as well. (my team on the TV and the one running around the backyard, too!)

The hard part of cooking food was taken care of, which left me being able to do the fun part, which was making a simple and tasty drink recipe for all the kids and adults to sip on during the party.

It’s a great drink for brunch, or really anytime you’re craving something refreshing! I use Simply Orange as it’s all natural, not-from-concentrate, and never frozen or sweetened.

All you need are 5 simple ingredients:

-Simply Orange Juice

-Sprite

-Cherry Syrup

-Cherries

-Lime Wedges

Fill your glass 3/4 full of crushed ice. Pour in Sprite to cover ice, about 3/4 full.

Add 2 Tbsp of cherry syrup. You can add less or more depending on how sweet you want it.

Next you’ll fill the rest of the glass with Simply Orange Orange Juice, about 1/4 cup.

Squeeze 1/4 lime wedge juice in glass, and put 1-2 lime wedges in glass. Mix well. Garnish with a few more lime wedges and cherries on top. Add a straw and serve!
