Modern Coastal Spring Decor

I am so excited for Spring this year! Spring is my favorite season and I love to add touches of cheerful Spring decor to my home. One of my favorite ways to decorate for Spring is bringing in lots of plants and florals. I’ve added several modern coastal Spring decor touches around my house to freshen up our space and brighten up our home after the gloomy winter season!fresh spring decorating ideas for simple table setting ideas with modern coastal touches of tropical plants and blush pinks

It’s been a cold, rainy winter season around here and I’m so ready for Spring weather! Decorate and Spring weather will come – that’s the saying right??

Thanks to the talented Mansa from Simplicite blog for inviting me to join her Spring Home Tour! If you came from Mansa’s blog, welcome and so glad you are here!

I have lots of floral and fauna decor in my home year round, but I like to bring in even more when Spring comes. My decor style is a lot of modern coastal mixed with pops of color and glam. One of my favorite modern coastal decor items to decorate with is tropical-style plants and foliage. Tropical foliage can easily transform a space into a coastal oasis with just a single palm leaf in a glass vase, or a few tropical plants scattered through the home. They add a modern and fresh vibe and instantly takes me back to tropical destinations I’ve visited!

So far, I’ve added modern coastal Spring decor to my breakfast nook table and foyer built-in shelves. These areas are some of my favorite spaces to decorate in my home and are easy to change throughout the seasons!

Ever since we updated our breakfast nook this Fall (see our Modern Coastal Breakfast Nook Makeover post) I love decorating this area throughout the seasons as it’s one of the main focal points of our home! This is where we eat dinner every night (at least, me and my husband Bryan do – the kids love to eat at the island!) so I wanted my Spring decor to be simple and not take up too much space.

I’ve been wanting to add more live plants in my home, and I love the look of these cute Neanthe Bella Palm plants! I’m not the best at taking care of indoor plants, but I’m focusing on only buying the “easy care”plants. I love the tropical look of the Bella Palm, and how adding three in a row in simple terra cotta pots instantly brings Spring life to our table.

The pink buffalo check table runner is actually two kitchen hand towels overlapping one another. The blush pink ruffled napkins add a soft delicate Spring touch and the modern gold and white flatware give the place setting just a hint of glam – my signature style!

Our foyer shelves are always a favorite of mine for changing up with seasonal decor. It’s one of the first views when you enter our home, and a fun spot to add touches of tropical whimsy and florals to match our foyer bright pink floral wallpaper 😉

Most of these faux florals I already had on hand and change out with each season. I did purchase a few more Spring faux plants with modern blush pink pots and a few Spring floral stems to peak out of my pink buffalo check ottoman.

  1. I know this post was written in March, but I’m happy I’ve seen it while it’s still Spring so that I can implement some tricks you’ve shared here. I love your romantic style so much! Lush pink tones go so well with the daring blue tones in your dining area. I also like tropical style plants. You don’t get to see them as a part of home decor these days that much. Thank you for sharing this, I’ve really enjoyed reading your blog post!
